That's amazing Juliet, what a family treasure. Something like this would make a real difference to teacher training I feel, massively increasing the confidence of practitioners to go outside. Yes I too wonder when it was taken out of the syllabus. Did they have a regulated training system when your Gran trained? These kinds of historical changes give great insight into how our values have changed through the generations. Thanks for your post.

I'm not sure at all - it would be interesting to hear from others who might know over the regulations re teacher training and when nature notes were removed. They were certainly gone by 1990!

In fact my mum or mother-in-law might remember as they both trained in the Sixties and Seventies.
