Good luck with the beavers! My home state is Louisiana, USA and they have a little animal there called a "neutria" which is a cross breed between beavers, rats, and possibly several other small animals. It is very resilient and has multiplied like rabbits!
Thanks for commenting on my blog. At the moment the beavers are being monitored quite rigorously and it's quite likely that a "controlling" approach would be used should cross breeding occur! I've never heard of a neutria - I'll have to go and find out more.
