Hit him on the back of the head with one for me! Great idea mixing cultural and/or sporting events with outside learning. We just sat in class and talked about the Olympics with no "participation" which would have given a much more memorable and worthwhile experience.
It is such a nice way of marking this occasion isn't it. In fact, talking of culture and the Far North, I was in a school near Fraserburgh yesterday who had done a wee outdoor project creating Innuksuks. It turned out the P6/7 teacher had been on holiday to NW Canada and really enjoyed the cultural aspects of her trip.
We just saw the re-start for the Iditarod in Willow yesterday and I came across this today! Love this idea! What a great learning opportunity while also encouraging time outdoors:)
